At Hubtype we've been working closely with Whatsapp over the last months, and we're proud to announce that Hubtype is one of the few platforms that can access the official Whatsapp Business API integration
from day one. It's worth noting that most partners are unable to offer any bot functionality and only offer access to the official Whatsapp Business API and a pathway to becoming a verified account.
If you already have a Hubtype chatbot working on another messaging platform such as Facebook Messenger or Telegram, we have great news. You won't need to do anything, and your Whatsapp chatbot will work just as it does on your existing messaging platforms.
Whatsapp for Enterprise Businesses is still in beta and is NOT available to the public
. There is currently no official Whatsapp Business Open API at this time.
Right now, Whatsapp selects which companies can access the beta program on a one-by-one basis. We've seen the majority of companies accepted by Whatsapp so far are multi-national or enterprise level companies. So, if you're a small or medium sized business, it's still premature to jump on board, but you can apply through Hubtype
now and queue in the waiting list if you aren't approved immediately.
