What is AI Spell Checker?

AI Spell Checker automatically detects and corrects spelling errors in an agent's reply before it reaches the customer. It's for agents only, never rewrites grammar or tone — only spelling— and the agent is always in control.

It switches off automatically if AI Translations is active on the same conversation

  • Purpose: A lightweight QA safety net that's invisible when it's not needed and never blocks the agent.
  • Value: Cleaner, more professional customer-facing messages with zero extra effort from agents — no typos, missing accents, or punctuation slips reaching the customer.
  • Who it's for: Agents. It's on by default wherever it's enabled for your organization.
  • Feature Compatibility: Mutually exclusive with AI Translations: if AI Translations is active on a conversation, no Spell Checker suggestion is shown.

Key Concepts

Quick-start steps

Just before an agent sends a reply, the AI tool checks whether the message contains any spelling errors.

  1. Agents send their response as they normally would.
  2. If there's a spelling error, a suggestion appears showing the corrected text, with the changes highlighted.
  3. Accept the correction with the Accept button (or Ctrl+Enter), or send original message with the Send Original button (or Esc).
  4. Need more time? Hover over the suggestion (or keep keyboard focus on it) and the 10-second countdown pauses.
  5. If agents don't take any action, the original message will be sent automatically after 10 seconds, so even if it contains spelling errors, the message will reach the customer.
  6. Sending several messages in a row? That's possible — they will be queued and sent in the order you sent them, once the pending suggestion has been resolved.

What to expect

Type “I will hepl you now” and Spell Checker suggests “I will help you now,” with “hepl” crossed out and “help” highlighted.

Like the correction? Accept it, and the customer will receive the corrected version.

What if I don't want the correction? Click Send Original (or press Esc), or simply let the countdown run out (10 seconds) — in both cases, the original message will be sent.
