AI Spell Checker

What is AI Spell Checker?

AI Spell Checker detects and corrects spelling in an agent's reply before it reaches the customer. It is for agents only. It does not rewrite grammar or tone, only spelling.

The agent stays in control: accept every correction, send the original message, or undo one word.

  • Purpose: a light check that stays out of the way and never blocks the agent.
  • Value: fewer typos, missing accents, or punctuation slips in customer-facing messages.
  • Who it's for: agents. It is on by default wherever your organization has enabled it.
  • Feature compatibility: it is mutually exclusive with AI Translations. If AI Translations is active on the conversation, no Spell Checker suggestion is shown.

Quick-start steps

Just before the reply is sent, the tool checks the message for spelling errors.

  1. The agent writes the reply as usual.
  2. If there is a spelling error, a suggestion shows the corrected text, with the changes highlighted.
  3. Accept it with Accept or Ctrl+Enter. Send the original with Send Original or Esc.
  4. To keep only some corrections, hover a corrected word and use the revert icon. Reverted words are shown in blue. You can apply the correction again from the same hover. Accept sends the message with the corrections you kept.
  5. Need more time? Hover the suggestion, or keep keyboard focus on it, and the 10-second countdown pauses.
  6. If the agent does not choose Accept or Send Original, the original message is sent after 10 seconds, even if some words were reverted.
  7. Several messages in a row are queued and sent in order, once the pending suggestion is resolved.

What to expect

Type I will hepl you now and Spell Checker suggests I will help you now, with hepl crossed out and help highlighted. Accept sends the corrected version.

If you type Hiii! I will hepl you now and the suggestion is Hi! I will help you now, hover Hi and revert it when you want to keep Hiii. Then click Accept. The customer receives Hiii! I will help you now.

To skip every correction, click Send Original or press Esc, or let the 10-second countdown finish. In each case the original message is sent.
