Once a campaign is marked Ready, you can launch it. This article covers how to launch, what happens for each trigger type, and what to do if a launch fails.

Launch a Ready campaign

  1. Open Campaigns and find your Ready campaign.
  2. Select Launch campaign.
  3. Confirm the launch.

What happens after launch

What happens next depends on how the campaign was configured:

  • On-launch campaigns begin processing their audience immediately.
  • Batch campaigns follow their configured hourly limit, using a rolling 60-minute window.
  • On drop-off campaigns wait until the specified event is triggered before sending.

At launch, the audience snapshot and execution states are set, and are used to track performance from then on.

If a launch fails

If launching fails, Campaigns displays the error so you can correct the problem and try again. Common causes are an unpublished flow, an unapproved template, or a channel that's no longer connected.

Note:  You can still edit a Ready campaign before launching it. Once it's Active, only the end date can change — see “Manage and edit campaigns.”

FAQ

Can I edit a campaign after marking it Ready?

Yes — a Ready campaign can still be edited or relaunched-ready. Editing locks only once the campaign becomes Active.

Does launching send to everyone immediately?

With "send to everyone at once," yes — contacts go out as fast as they are processed. "Send in batches" deliberately caps sending to a set number per hour, and on-event campaigns wait for their trigger.
